Hundred disadvantaged families receive Lahti2017 tickets for Christmas
The organizing committee of Lahti2017 World Championships is taking part of the Joulupuu – Christmas action. Lahti2017 is giving away tickets to hundred families for the World Championships next year.
The idea of Joulupuu – Christmas Action is to collect Christmas presents for children who could not get them otherwise. The children in question can have been taken into custody, living in foster family or child caring institution, or would not get presents because of the disadvantaged financial situation of the family.
Lahti2017 is taking part to the Christmas present action and giving away tickets to hundred families for a competition day of their choice. In addition, the children receive winter clothes by Luhta, partner of Lahti2017 World Championships.
- World Championships are for everyone and the spirit of Salpausselkä is often enjoyed with the whole family. It is great, that we can enable a unique experience also for those who could not afford it otherwise, explains Janne Leskinen, the Secretary General of Lahti2017.
Joulupuu – Christmas Action is organized mainly through Junior Chamber International Finland in the whole country.
